Comment by Alan Sherris on September 12, 2011 at 10:59 obviously there was an underlying respect for each other even though it appears not to have been realised (or acknowledged) until Prost gave it away.
not a bone broken or a bruise after the accident made the outcome that much more sad and could have been an accident he walked away from. I hadn't make the link that Senna's death was the last one that F1 has had which is a remarkable tribute to the standards built into these cars.

I think apart from Prost, Senna was his own biggest competitor. there appeared to be nothing either of those two wouldn't do to win the championship. But it was very interesting seeing the chain of events and reactons over that weekend at Imola before the accident that suggested all was not right. looking at the onboard shots one couldn't help but be amazed at the lack of technical aids they had to contend with. seeing a steering wheel with a big "H" sign in the middle looked like it had been borrowed from an abandoned Civic that was lying about. A great tribute to one the sport's great achievers.
If you want another good watch, have a look at the TT 3D., Those guys have an absolute death wish on themselves
