I had a few weeks holiday, cycling and driving round NZ with a friend over from Ingerlund. But the real R&R only started yesterday. An entire two days spent stripping, cleaning, inspecting and reassembling the X1. She had gotten a bit tatty. Entirely my fault - racing when not studying or working leaves bugger all time and I'm ashamed to say she got a bit neglected on the pampering front. My First Race...

It's been a while since I raced CIK - 2002 to be exact, under the MSA. I've raced a non-certified series but nothing with the rules, regulations and tribulations of being under CIK. Until the twilight Te Puke at the weekend just gone. It was an event in itself getting down there - one 45 minute diversion, three swims and then into Fagan's Valley, only crossed after a 4x4 tackled the 9 inch waters and proved it could be done.
