This was the kart that Ray Hart raced at the 1983 CIK Asian Pacific Championships and to give an idea how big an event this was back in the day, the finishing order in the Final was 1st Lars Forsman Birel/Parilla (IAME factory driver) 2nd Mike…See More

Hampton Downs

For those that didn't make it out to Hampton Downs today, yah missed out on a great chance to experience Road Racing with two timing sessions and 5 races those that did had a great time on a circuit that's great for Karts. The fastest Superkart was only a few secounds off Kenny Smith's track record and no reason why with a bit of effort that Kart's couldn't hold the track record. So next time the Superkart club visits the track make the effort to come out and try it out, even one lone Yamaha KT…See More

Unfortunately No, I got too much to do here and I had a piston failure last weekend at Taranaki. vintage Karting continues to prosper here on the Left Coast of NZ, my brother bought a (what I think is a Karlson Zip) kart with a Suzuki T250 on it now removed and he ran it with us now with PCR 100 engine, Had a show in the Stadium 2 weeks back with good publicity for Vintage Karting, with several more appearing from the woodwork. I am very keen to come to Auckland for the January deal 50th Auckland Kart Club ? please advise if there is a run for Vintage Karts , I have never run there.
