What a terrible shame. Makes one think about track ratings!   Not a pleasant video to watch but boy it shows how bad it was

obviously there was an underlying respect for each other even though it appears not to have been realised (or acknowledged) until Prost gave it away. not a bone broken or a bruise after the accident made the outcome that much more sad and could have…

Agree that Imola weekend had some very bad vibes and you could see Senna had lost his mojo at that meeting.  interestingly no matter how these guys fight on track they still belong to a special club: See Prost is a trustee for the Senna…

No guessing what you did on a wet Sunday. Incredible movie. I think apart from Prost, Senna was his own biggest competitor. there appeared  to be nothing either of those two wouldn't do to win the championship. But it was very interesting…

Track Camera is brilliant idea:  Might not be so good for Brent Melhop when he tells the staff he is visiting clients but he is actually getting in some sneaky extra practice

This would be the other option... 'importing' a series.   http://www.easykart-usa.com/concept.html   But again you'd need someone to take on a substantial responsibility and be willing to p off the rest of our karting…

Ahh in Mr Gaskell's post above regarding when one considers a fixed standard kart is probably the key to why this idea may as well be shut down: "most manufacturers are going to miss out on selling karts" We simply don't have the…

No problem Graeme,

Will update now.

Not too many responces to my post. Did I ask the right questions or do people just not have too much to share. Id rather do my research before comitting to anything as the number of (i dont use it anymore) karts on trademe is really high.

Cheers

Byron

I personally cannot see why this maybe as they are a safety device to protect it etc !!
The only rule I recall is on seat then a fibreglass bump on the seat has been used !!
I have never had a question on this and the only comments I have had is they are a great idea ! Me as a tech have no ? on these at all and I have just looked at the rules and there is nothing there at all as they are part of the bodywork and I was part of a group that had the rule updated to the current and this was mentioned at the time and no issue by all !!

I will have a look to see if I have one left as when I last made some I made a spare one.
I will hunt around and see what I can find ! Its only the diameter of the hole and how deep it is to make the insert fit snugly in,not what sticks below the bodywork !

Well now that would be telling !!! I made them to help protect them to reduce damage and they worked well. I cannot recall the sizes sorry but I can easily make them for you. If you can measure the measurements or just remove it and send it to me and I could make it.

No worries, I was at Akld on Sat afternoon with the Kinsmans and all good.
Hampton went well and we got 30 entries so only covered our costs at this point. Photos I was going to but forgot my camera (bugger) so I hope that someone got some.
There was a couple of spins at Hampton as well and a couple did it on the pit exit shute on the first session out so it stopped while it was cleaned up. It was slicks at that point as it was starting to drizzle. Then they all came in while the clean up was happening they changed to wets.
Other than that it all went well and from what I heard they all enjoyed it.
Hampton were really happy to have us and want us back more so I will see what dates we see and work on it for the future.
