Being a father that has come from Cadet, through JR and now Junior, I agree with Maurice, if you feel inclined to spend $5K on an engine then go for it, but as Maurice as pointed out you will get a good fast motor for $3K and I think you will…"

To be far on Cadet engine Maurice, some of the variations are more to do with the fact some of these engines have been around for a long time, lets face it the nikaseal doesnt last forever.

Neville Sinclair said… - Looked at all Junior Classes and with so much interest up this end of the country for the Junio Rotax I think we might head that way. It is more cost effective with the possability getting a trip over to the worlds at the end of the year. I see the transition from JR to Junior Rotax to Rotax Lights is the way to go. Don't get me wrong their is a place for the KF3 class as well as the Junior Max class. You would probally find more Jnor Rotax on the grid at club days than KF3's. I understand Nelson have been running the Jnior Rotax class very succesfully for sometime.Cheers

- Hi Darryn, Ths is a new way to keep in contact and see how karting is going around the country. All is sold, could have sold it three times over. Just got one motor that we are working on. We are very keen to move into the Junior Rotax class. CJis twelve on the 4th December so will be at the track that Friday just for a bit of fun in a Junior. How are you going down there?

Tim Ganley said… - Joe and Kaitlyn 4th. I think the pit stop let our team down. Started as a wet race and we pitted after about 20min as Kaitlyn was struggling with engine... we made a call to go to slicks, Joe slid around for 10 laps then it started to dry enough and once he figured out the tuning it went better. He set fastest lap but the pit crew let them down i think... next year!
