Hi Karters

Hey I know we probably have many rules in karting but if you want to enjoy a good race you have to have a few so this blog is no different

We hope to keep things clean and fair around here, and for that reason there a couple of rules. Please stick to them and we'll all be happy:

1. To be a member of Kart Blog you MUST use your full real name NO Ghost names either please. (If you have set up your profile with a "handle" name, you can edit your name by editing your settings - top right of your screen). If you post without using your real name, we will ask you nicely ONCE to update it. If you don't rectify the problem, we ban you. Pretty straightforward. This rule is in place because we are only interested in open honest transparent discussion

2. No politics/swearing/bullying/sniping/flaming etc. There are many places on the web where you can do that sort of thing - and this isn't one of them. If you do, we won't bother editing your post or replacing the word with something ridiculous like *flowers*, we'll just delete it. If you persist we will ban you. Anyway, karting's a very small community, and because you'll be posting with your real name you wouldn't wish to be crass or offensive, would you? If you wouldn't say it in person, in front of the kids, don't say it here (because the kids and possibly your mum are reading it!).

3. No advertising. We may start a marketplace where you can also start a group for your shop/business and do all the advertising in there you like but to be honest this is not about commercial interests so probably not. Go to Kartsport.org.nz to list/advertise or you will be removed from the forum

4. Keep subject on track Its easy to get offline but try to maintain the "Thread" of the conversation if you wish to raise a different issue by all means do so but start a new discussion and use the clever link tool above to connect members.

5. Please write in full English rather than text speak, the site is about clear communication

Fresh Ideas - Fresh Approach "Lighten up or Go on Leave"

We are starting to see some positive discussions on MyKart: New ideas, real karters asking for advice and folk pitching in with constructive comments which is great especially for new members.

Sadly some keyboard warriors seem to only be capable of making negative comments and or religiously bringing posts down to low level bagging.

For some months I have been approached by many members who would like to post but are afraid to as they see that the usual moaners will will just sidetrack their conversation with personal agenda's.

I am not sure why this happens but given we seem to be moving in a more positive phase what I will do is where we have consistent moaners we will give them a wee holiday. Any feedback message me. PS: Forum Rules HERE
